Nov 06, 2005 - Broken Metal A great futuristic turn based strategy game that covers every imaginable aspect of flying a ship in outer space. It is a great game to play whether you spend a few minutes every day or a few hours every day battling lonely rogues for the parts they stole from you the day before, flying from planet to planet trying to get the parts needed to get rid of a ship that has been tailing you for a week or just building an impenetrable space station that supplies everybody in the galaxy. I recommend to all those strategy lovers out there to play Broken Metal for a week before you decide what you think. Voyager, Starfleet decides to return to the Delta Quadrant to re-establish a Federation presence there. They refit the newly commissioned Sovereign class battlecruiser U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E with the future technology brought back in time by Admiral Janeway, which was first integrated into the systems of Voyager. It's mission, besides continued exploration of the Delta Quadrant, is to salvage and rebuild the Borg transwarp conduit system that was all but destroyed by Voyager upon her return. After a shakedown cruise to test the Enterpise's new systems, including an experimental quantum slipstream drive, they set out for the Delta Quadrant through a salvaged transwarp conduit. But something goes wrong. Instead of emerging in the Delta Quadrant, the Enterprise is flung back in time, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. It is 10 years after the Battle of Endor and the crew of the Enterprise is immersed in the ongoing war between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. Despite the Prime Directive, they must ally themselves with the New Republic to keep the advanced technology of the Enterprise out of Imperial hands and to try to find a way back to their own time and galaxy...
